Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape. Inspect the freezer for any damage.
  2. Location: Place the freezer on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit. Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the back and sides for proper ventilation.
  3. Leveling: Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the freezer to ensure it is stable and level. This prevents vibrations and ensures proper door sealing.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the freezer into an exclusive, properly grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  5. Initial Operation: After plugging in, allow the freezer to operate for at least 2-3 hours empty before loading food.
  6. Door Reversal (Optional): The door is reversible. If you wish to change the door swing direction, refer to the detailed instructions in the separate door reversal guide (not included in this manual).

Operating Instructions

Temperature Control

The freezer is equipped with an adjustable thermostat located inside the unit. Turn the dial to adjust the temperature. Settings range from "MIN" (least cold) to "MAX" (coldest). For general use, a "NORMAL" or mid-range setting is recommended. Allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize after adjustment.

Loading the Freezer

Do not overload the freezer. Allow space for air to circulate around items for efficient freezing. Avoid placing hot food directly into the freezer.

Lock and Key

The freezer comes with a lock and key for securing its contents. Insert the key into the lock on the door and turn to lock or unlock.

Maintenance

Manual Defrost

This freezer features manual defrost. Frost buildup on the interior walls will reduce cooling efficiency and storage capacity. Defrost the freezer when frost accumulation reaches approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and place them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Leave the freezer door open to allow frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost.
  4. Once all frost has melted, clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  5. Plug the freezer back in and allow it to cool for 2-3 hours before returning food.

Cleaning

Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For the interior, use a solution of baking soda and water (2 tablespoons baking soda to 1 quart water). Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Power Outage

In case of a power outage, keep the freezer door closed to maintain the internal temperature for as long as possible. Food should remain frozen for several hours depending on the ambient temperature and how full the freezer is.
