3. Setup
3.1 Powering On
- Unpack the Electrohome CR35 from its packaging.
- Connect the power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- For battery backup, install 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. This will maintain time and alarm settings during a power outage.
3.2 Automatic Time Setting (SelfSet Technology)
Upon initial power-up, the CR35's SelfSet technology will automatically detect and set the correct time and date. Ensure the unit is placed in an area with good reception for optimal performance.
3.3 Manual Time and Date Setting
If the automatic time setting is incorrect or you wish to adjust it manually:
- Press and hold the TIME SET button located on the top panel until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the HR (Hour) and MIN (Minute) buttons to adjust the time. Pressing and holding these buttons will allow for faster adjustment.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the time. The date/year digits will begin to flash.
- Use the HR and MIN buttons to set the current year, month, and day. Press TIME SET after each selection to move to the next.
- Press TIME SET one last time to save all changes.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm)
The CR35 features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2) that can be set for different times and days.
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET button until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Use the HR and MIN buttons to set the desired alarm time.
- Press the respective ALARM SET button again to select the wake-up source (Buzzer or Radio).
- Press the ALARM SET button once more to select the alarm schedule: Everyday, Weekdays (Mon-Fri), or Weekends (Sat-Sun).
- Press the ALARM SET button one final time to confirm and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
4.2 Motion Activated Night Light and Snooze
The CR35 is equipped with a motion sensor for convenient night light and snooze activation.
- Night Light: Wave your hand over the top of the unit to activate the night light. Wave again to turn it off.
- Snooze: When an alarm sounds, wave your hand over the top of the unit to activate the snooze function, providing extra minutes of sleep before the alarm sounds again.

4.3 Gradual Wake-up Lighting
The wake-up light feature gently increases in brightness as your alarm time approaches, providing a more natural and peaceful awakening.

4.4 Digital AM/FM Radio
- Press the AM/FM button to switch to radio mode.
- Use the TUNE +/- buttons to manually tune to a desired station. Press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
- To save a station as a preset, press and hold the MEM button until the preset number flashes. Use the TUNE +/- buttons to select a preset number, then press MEM again to save.
- To recall a preset station, briefly press the MEM button and then use the TUNE +/- buttons to select the desired preset.
4.5 Display Dimmer
Adjust the brightness of the LED display to your preference.
- Press the DIMMER button (usually located on the top or side) to cycle through the four available brightness levels, including a screen-off option.
