Introduction

The POWERTEC 120V/230V Dual Voltage Paddle Switch (Model 71007) is an emergency safety switch designed to enhance safety in your workshop and with power tools. This switch features a straightforward design for easy integration into deep gang boxes or standard boxes with an extension ring. It allows for switching both hot and neutral lines or both phases of a 230V line. Its large, color-coded start and stop features, including a prominent red emergency stop paddle, ensure high visibility and quick access for power tool shutdown. The green start button can also be secured with a cable lock for additional safety.

This paddle switch is compatible with a wide range of popular power tools, serving as an excellent replacement for existing switches on equipment such as table saws, drill presses, band saws, router tables, and dust collection systems.

Safety Information

Setup and Installation

The POWERTEC Paddle Switch is designed for easy wiring into deep gang boxes or standard boxes with an extension ring. Please note that the gang box is NOT INCLUDED with the switch.

Mounting

The switch includes M4 screws for mounting. For most domestically sourced switch boxes and box extenders, compatible 6/32" screws will be required (not included). If compatibility is a concern, consider using the POWERTEC 71834 Deep Switch Box with Hardware for a guaranteed fit.

Important Note: The switch requires a force of 40-60 Newtons (approximately 9 to 13.5 pounds-force) to activate. This ensures a firm and deliberate action for both starting and stopping the connected equipment.
