- Heat-Resistant Handles: For safe handling of the unit.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to make delicious popcorn with your West Bend Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper.
- Add Oil: Pour 1 to 2 tablespoons of cooking oil (vegetable, canola, or coconut oil recommended) onto the non-stick popping plate.
- Add Kernels: Add up to 6 ounces (approximately 3/4 cup) of unpopped popcorn kernels to the popping plate. Do not overfill.
- Place Cover: Carefully place the clear vented cover onto the base unit, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Add Butter (Optional): If desired, place up to 1/4 cup of butter or margarine in the butter cap/well on top of the clear cover. The heat from the popping corn will melt the butter, allowing it to drizzle onto the popcorn.
- Plug In and Start: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. Flip the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The stirring rod will begin to rotate, and the heating element will activate.
- Popping Process: Popcorn will begin to pop within a few minutes. The stirring rod will ensure even popping.
- Completion: Once popping slows to 1-2 seconds between pops, flip the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position and immediately unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
- Serve: Carefully remove the butter cap (if used). Using oven mitts, grasp the heat-resistant handles of the clear cover and carefully invert the entire unit. The clear cover now serves as a large serving bowl.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your popcorn popper.
- Cool Down: Always allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clear Cover and Stirring Rod: The clear cover and stirring rod are top-rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
- Popping Plate: The non-stick popping plate is easy to clean. Wipe it with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge. Do NOT immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Storage: For compact storage, the base unit nests neatly inside the inverted clear cover. The power cord can be wrapped underneath the base to prevent tangling.
