Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Mabe ORE 24 CGF SS Side-by-Side Refrigerator. Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance and retain them for future reference.
1. Setup and Installation
1.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films.
- Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to your retailer.
- Ensure all accessories, such as shelves and drawers, are present.
1.2 Placement
- Place the refrigerator on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight (approximately 170 kg).
- Allow adequate space around the appliance for proper air circulation (at least 10 cm at the back and sides, 30 cm at the top). This ensures efficient operation and prevents overheating.
- Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources (stoves, radiators), and damp areas.
- The appliance is designed for freestanding installation.
1.3 Electrical Connection
- Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated, grounded 220 Volt AC outlet.
- Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
- Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow refrigerants to settle.
1.4 Water Connection (for Ice/Water Dispenser)
This model features an integrated ice and water dispenser. A cold water supply line is required for operation. Consult a qualified plumber for proper installation of the water supply line to prevent leaks and ensure safe operation.

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Initial Start-up and Temperature Setting
- After plugging in, the refrigerator will begin to cool. Allow several hours (at least 4-6) for the appliance to reach its set temperature before loading with food.
- Use the electronic control panel on the freezer door to adjust the temperature settings for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Refer to the display for current temperature readings.
- Recommended refrigerator temperature: 3°C to 5°C.
- Recommended freezer temperature: -18°C to -20°C.
2.2 Ice and Water Dispenser
- Once the water supply is connected and the refrigerator has cooled, the ice maker will begin producing ice. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure cleanliness.
- To dispense water, press a glass against the water lever.
- To dispense ice, select cubed or crushed ice on the control panel and press a glass against the ice lever.
2.3 Internal Storage Features
- The refrigerator features adjustable shelves, door bins, and humidity-controlled crisper drawers for optimal food storage.
- The freezer compartment includes multiple shelves and door bins for organized storage of frozen items.
- The LED interior lighting provides clear visibility of contents.

3. Maintenance and Cleaning
3.1 General Cleaning
- Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
- Clean the interior regularly with a solution of mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For stainless steel, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner to prevent streaks.
- Clean the door gaskets with warm soapy water to ensure a proper seal.
3.2 Automatic Defrost System
This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. Ensure that the freezer door is always closed properly to maintain efficiency.
3.3 Water Filter Replacement (if applicable)
If your model includes a water filter for the dispenser, it should be replaced every 6 months or as indicated by the filter indicator light on the control panel. Refer to the filter replacement instructions provided with the filter or on the appliance.
3.4 Condenser Coils
Periodically clean the condenser coils located at the back or bottom of the refrigerator. Dust and debris can accumulate, reducing efficiency. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust.
4. Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, review the following common issues and solutions:
- Refrigerator does not operate:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet.
- Verify if the circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown.
- Ensure the temperature control is not set to 'Off' or a very warm setting.
- Refrigerator is not cooling sufficiently:
- Check if the doors are fully closed and sealed.
- Ensure there is adequate air circulation around the appliance.
- Avoid overloading the refrigerator, which can block airflow.
- Verify temperature settings are appropriate.
- Clean condenser coils if dusty.
- Excessive noise:
- Ensure the refrigerator is level.
- Check if anything is vibrating against the back or sides of the unit.
- Normal operating sounds include compressor hum, fan noise, and occasional gurgling from refrigerant.
- Water dispenser not working:
- Check if the water supply valve is open.
- Ensure the water filter is not clogged (if applicable).
- Verify the water line is not kinked.
- Ice maker not producing ice:
- Ensure the ice maker is turned on.
- Check for obstructions in the ice maker or ice bucket.
- Verify water supply is connected and flowing.
