2. Initial Charging
Before the first ride, fully charge the scooter's battery. The initial charging time is approximately 12 hours. Ensure the scooter is turned off during charging. The battery should always be left at a full charge when not in use to prolong its lifespan. Recharge monthly if stored for extended periods, and avoid freezing temperatures.

3. Pre-Ride Checks
- Tires: Check the pneumatic front tire for proper inflation.
- Brakes: Test the hand-operated front brake to ensure it functions correctly.
- Connections: Verify all cables and connections are secure and undamaged.
- Safety Gear: Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet and knee/elbow pads, before riding.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Scooter
The Razor E100 Glow Electric Scooter features a kick-to-start motor. To engage the motor, first turn on the power switch located on the underside of the deck. Then, push off with your foot to reach a speed of approximately 3 miles per hour (5 km/h) before twisting the acceleration control on the handlebar. The motor will then engage, providing electric power.

2. Riding and Control
- Acceleration: Use the twist-grip acceleration control on the right handlebar to control your speed. The scooter can reach speeds up to 10 mph (16 km/h).
- Braking: The hand-operated front brake on the left handlebar allows for controlled stopping. Apply gentle pressure to slow down or stop.
- Light-Up Deck: The LED lights on the deck illuminate when the throttle is twisted, enhancing visibility and adding a unique glow to your ride.
- Ride Time: Enjoy up to 40 minutes of continuous ride time on a full charge, depending on rider weight, terrain, and riding style.

Maintenance
1. Battery Care
The scooter uses lead-acid batteries. To ensure optimal battery life and performance:
- Always fully charge the battery after each use, even for short rides.
- Do not leave the battery discharged for extended periods.
- Recharge the battery monthly if the scooter is not in regular use to prevent self-discharge.
- Store the scooter and battery in a heated area during cold winter months, as freezing temperatures can damage lead-acid batteries.
2. Tire and Brake Inspection
Regularly inspect the 8-inch pneumatic front tire for proper inflation and signs of wear. Check the hand-operated brake for responsiveness and adjust if necessary to ensure effective stopping power. The rear wheel is urethane and generally requires less maintenance.
3. General Cleaning and Inspection
Keep the scooter clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Periodically inspect the entire scooter for loose parts, damaged cables, or any other signs of wear that may affect its safe operation. The all-steel frame and fork construction are designed for durability.
Troubleshooting
Motor Not Engaging
If the motor does not engage when the throttle is twisted, ensure the scooter has been kick-started to at least 3 miles per hour (5 km/h). The motor is designed to engage only after a certain initial speed is achieved for safety and efficiency. Verify the power switch is in the "ON" position and the battery is sufficiently charged.
Reduced Performance or Short Ride Time
This can often be attributed to battery issues. Refer to the "Battery Care" section under Maintenance. Ensure the battery is fully charged for 12 hours before use. Factors such as rider weight, riding surface, incline, ambient temperature, and riding style (frequent stopping/starting) can also affect performance and range.
Brake Issues
If the hand-operated brake feels loose or ineffective, it may need adjustment. Consult the assembly guide for instructions on adjusting the brake cable tension. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
