3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Xbox One console for the first time:

  1. Unpack the Console: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Xbox One console, wireless controller, HDMI cable, power supply, and chat headset.
  2. Connect HDMI Cable: Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI OUT port on the back of your Xbox One console. Connect the other end to an HDMI input port on your television or monitor.
  3. Connect Power Supply: Plug the power cable into the power supply unit, then connect the power supply unit to the POWER port on the back of the console. Finally, plug the power cable into a wall outlet.
  4. Connect Controller: Insert the included AA batteries into the wireless controller. Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on. The controller will automatically connect to the console. If it doesn't, press the Pair button on both the console and the controller.
  5. Initial Setup: Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input. Power on your Xbox One by pressing the Xbox button on the console. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including network configuration and account sign-in.
