3. Setup
3.1 Connecting Your DVR System
Follow these steps to connect your SANSCO DVR. Refer to the connection diagram below for visual guidance.
- Step 1: Connect Cameras (Sold Separately): Connect your compatible CCTV cameras to the 'VIDEO IN' ports (V1-V8) on the back of the DVR using BNC cables.
- Step 2: Connect TV/Monitor: Connect a TV or monitor to the DVR using either an HDMI cable (to 'HD-OUT') or a VGA cable (to 'VGA'). Ensure your display supports a resolution of at least 1920x1080 pixels for optimal viewing.
- Step 3: Connect to Router (Optional for Remote Viewing): If you intend to view your cameras remotely via the internet, connect the DVR's Ethernet port to your network router using an Ethernet cable. This step can be skipped if remote viewing is not required.
- Step 4: Connect Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into one of the USB ports on the DVR.

For recording video footage, an internal SATA hard drive (3.5 inch, up to 14TB) must be installed. The hard drive is not included with the DVR.
