3.1 Connecting Your DVR System

Follow these steps to connect your SANSCO DVR. Refer to the connection diagram below for visual guidance.

  1. Step 1: Connect Cameras (Sold Separately): Connect your compatible CCTV cameras to the 'VIDEO IN' ports (V1-V8) on the back of the DVR using BNC cables.
  2. Step 2: Connect TV/Monitor: Connect a TV or monitor to the DVR using either an HDMI cable (to 'HD-OUT') or a VGA cable (to 'VGA'). Ensure your display supports a resolution of at least 1920x1080 pixels for optimal viewing.
  3. Step 3: Connect to Router (Optional for Remote Viewing): If you intend to view your cameras remotely via the internet, connect the DVR's Ethernet port to your network router using an Ethernet cable. This step can be skipped if remote viewing is not required.
  4. Step 4: Connect Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into one of the USB ports on the DVR.
  5. Step 5: Connect Power: Connect the DC12V power adapter to the DVR and then plug it into a power outlet. The DVR will power on automatically.

3.2 Hard Drive Installation (for Recording)

For recording video footage, an internal SATA hard drive (3.5 inch, up to 14TB) must be installed. The hard drive is not included with the DVR. Refer to the DVR's internal structure for hard drive mounting points and SATA connectors. Ensure the DVR is powered off before installing or removing a hard drive.

Upon first power-on, the DVR will guide you through an initial setup wizard. This wizard will help you configure basic settings such as language, date/time, network settings, and password. Follow the on-screen prompts.

4.2 Remote Viewing via Mobile App

To view your cameras remotely:

  1. Download the recommended mobile application (e.g., XMEye, as mentioned by users) from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  3. Add your DVR device by scanning the QR code displayed in the DVR's network settings or by manually entering the device ID.
