1. Prepare the Outlet: Loosen the device screws on your existing outdoor outlet by about 3/8 of an inch.
2. Select Adapter (if needed): The cover comes pre-configured for a GFCI-sized opening. If installing on a different device (e.g., duplex, toggle switch, round receptacle), remove the pre-installed adapter and snap in the appropriate adapter from the included set.

4. Mount the Cover: Align the keyholes on the cover's base with the loosened device screws on the outlet. Slide the cover over the device and fasten the screws until snug, being careful not to overtighten.

5. Adjust for Horizontal Mounting (if applicable): If mounting horizontally, the EZ Change Pin needs to be moved to the alternate location to ensure the cover closes downward, preventing it from inadvertently being left open.
