3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Performing an ATP Test
- Power on the SystemSURE Plus device.
- Select the desired test plan or location using the navigation buttons.
- Take a Hygiena ATP test swab (e.g., UltraSnap, AquaSnap) and follow its specific instructions for collecting a sample from the surface or liquid to be tested.
- Activate the swab by breaking the Snap-Valve and squeezing the liquid down the swab shaft. Shake gently.
- Insert the activated swab into the SystemSURE Plus read chamber. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Close the chamber lid and press the 'OK' button to initiate the test.
- The device will display the RLU (Relative Light Unit) reading after a 15-second countdown.
3.2 Interpreting Results
The RLU value indicates the level of ATP detected. Higher RLU values correspond to higher levels of biological contamination. Refer to your organization's established pass/fail limits for ATP readings to determine the cleanliness status of the tested area.
3.3 Data Transfer to SureTrend
Connect the SystemSURE Plus device to your computer using the provided USB cable. Open the SureTrend software. Follow the software prompts to synchronize data from the device to the computer for detailed analysis, trending, and reporting.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Device
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your SystemSURE Plus. Use a soft, damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner to wipe the exterior of the device. Avoid harsh chemicals or solvents.
4.2 Cleaning the Read Chamber
The SystemSURE Plus features a removable read chamber for easy cleaning. To clean:
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Carefully remove the read chamber according to the device's design (refer to the diagram in the full manual if needed).
- Clean the chamber using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Ensure no debris or liquid remains.
- Allow the chamber to dry completely before reinserting it into the device.
4.3 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the screen, replace both AA batteries promptly to avoid interruption of operation and potential data loss. Refer to section 2.2 for battery installation instructions.
4.4 Storage
Store the SystemSURE Plus in a clean, dry environment at room temperature. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries.
