2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Unboxing and Contents Verification
Before beginning installation, carefully unbox your ASRock D1800M motherboard and verify all contents against the packing list. Typical contents include:

2.2 Motherboard Installation in Chassis
- Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of your computer chassis. Ensure it snaps securely into place.
- Carefully align the motherboard with the standoffs inside the chassis. The integrated Intel J1800 CPU does not require separate installation.
- Secure the motherboard to the chassis using appropriate screws. Do not overtighten.
2.3 Memory (RAM) Installation
The ASRock D1800M supports DDR3(L) DIMMs. It has two memory slots.
- Open the clips at both ends of the DIMM slot.
