This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Timex T235WY AM/FM Dual Alarm Clock Radio. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience.

Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect the AC power adapter to the DC input jack located on the back of the unit. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.
2. Battery Backup Installation
For continuous timekeeping during power outages, install 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. The battery backup maintains time and alarm settings but does not power the display or audio functions.
3. Setting the Time
- Press and hold the TIME SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator light for correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minute.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Operating Instructions
1. Radio Operation
- Turning On/Off: Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn the radio on or off.
- Tuning: Press the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency. Press and hold for automatic scanning to the next clear station.
- Band Selection: Press the AM/FM button to switch between AM and FM bands.
- Volume Control: Use the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons to adjust the listening volume.
- Setting Presets:
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press the PRESET button. The preset number will flash.
- Use the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons to select the desired preset number (1-10 for AM, 1-10 for FM).
- Press the PRESET button again to save the station.
- Recalling Presets: Press the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons to cycle through saved stations.
2. Alarm Functions
The Timex T235WY features dual independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).
- Setting an Alarm:
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm time flashes.
- Press the HOUR button to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the MINUTE button to adjust the alarm minute.
- Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to select the wake source (Buzzer or Radio). The corresponding indicator will light up.
- Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button one more time to confirm and activate the alarm. The alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) will appear on the display.
- Disabling an Alarm: Press the active ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm indicator disappears from the display.
- Snooze Function: When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE bar to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
- Stopping an Alarm: To stop an alarm completely, press the corresponding ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The alarm will reset for the next day.
3. Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to the radio, which will automatically turn off after a set period.
- While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
- The radio will play for the selected duration and then automatically turn off.
4. Auxiliary Input
Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the back of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). The audio from the connected device will play through the clock radio's speaker.

5. Display Dimmer
Press the DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the LED display to your preference (High, Low, Off).
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may damage the finish. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
Battery Replacement
If the clock loses time during a power outage, the backup batteries may need replacement. Replace with 2 new AAA batteries, observing polarity.
