Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your under-counter CD player:
- Choose a Location: Select a flat, sturdy surface under a kitchen cabinet. Ensure there is adequate space for the unit and access to a power outlet.
- Prepare for Mounting: Use the provided mounting template to mark the drilling locations under your cabinet. Note: Some users have reported the template may not be perfectly accurate; verify measurements before drilling.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Carefully drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the underside of the cabinet using the provided screws.
- Mount the Unit: Slide the PROSCAN ELITE unit onto the mounting plate until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect Power: Plug the AC power adapter into the unit and then into a wall outlet.
- Install Backup Batteries: For clock and preset memory retention during power outages, install 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment.

Operating Instructions
Front Panel Controls

- POWER Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
- SOURCE Button: Cycle through available modes: CD, FM Radio, Bluetooth.
- VOLUME +/- Buttons: Adjust the audio output level.
- OPEN/CLOSE Button: Eject or retract the CD tray.
- SKIP/TUNE Buttons:
- In CD mode: Skip to the next/previous track.
- In FM mode: Tune to the next/previous radio station.
- PLAY/PAUSE Button: Play or pause CD playback.
- PAIR Button: Initiate Bluetooth pairing mode.
- DISPLAY Button: Adjust display brightness or cycle through display information.
- CLK SET/MEM Button: Set the clock or save/recall radio presets.
- TIMER Button: Set sleep timer or alarm functions.
- REPEAT Button: Repeat current track or entire CD.
- PROG Button: Program CD playback order.
- RANDOM Button: Play CD tracks in random order.
CD Player Operation
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place a CD onto the tray with the label side facing up.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The unit will automatically begin playing the CD.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP/TUNE, REPEAT, PROG, and RANDOM buttons to control playback.
FM Radio Operation
- Press the SOURCE button until "FM" appears on the display.
- Use the SKIP/TUNE buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency or press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
- To save a preset: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the CLK SET/MEM button until the preset number flashes. Use the SKIP/TUNE buttons to select a preset number, then press CLK SET/MEM again to confirm.
- To recall a preset: Briefly press the CLK SET/MEM button and use the SKIP/TUNE buttons to select the desired preset.
Bluetooth Operation
- Press the SOURCE button until "BT" or "Bluetooth" appears on the display. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "PROSCAN ELITE" or similar from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the unit's display will stop flashing, and you can stream audio from your device to the unit.
- To disconnect, either turn off Bluetooth on your device or press and hold the PAIR button on the unit.
