4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the supplied lithium-ion battery with the correct orientation, matching the polarity indicators.
- Close the battery cover securely until it clicks.
- Charge the battery fully before first use.
4.2. Memory Card Insertion
- Open the memory card slot cover, usually located near the battery compartment.
- Insert a compatible SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is facing the correct direction.
- Close the memory card slot cover.
4.3. Initial Settings
- Upon first power-on, the camera will prompt you to set the date, time, and language.
- Use the directional buttons on the control pad to navigate and the OK button to confirm selections.
5. Operating the Camera
5.1. Basic Photography
- Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button located on the top of the camera.
- Shooting Mode: Rotate the mode dial to select your desired shooting mode (e.g., iAUTO for automatic settings, P for Program Auto, ART for Art Filters, SCN for Scene Modes).
- Zoom: Use the zoom lever around the shutter button to adjust the 24x optical zoom.
- Focus and Shoot: Press the shutter button halfway down to focus, then press it fully to take a picture.
5.2. Image Stabilization
