Important Safety Information and Training Guidelines
Please read the following information carefully before using the DRYEASY Bedwetting Alarm. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial for effective and safe training.
- Parental Involvement: Parents play a critical role in the early stages of alarm training. Deep sleepers may not initially wake to the alarm. Parents must be prepared to wake the child as soon as the alarm sounds and continue this until the child responds independently. Active parental involvement is essential for success.
- Initial Wetting: At the beginning of training, the child may not stop urinating quickly, and underwear may still get soaked. This is normal. Over time, the brain will condition to respond to bladder messages, allowing the child to wake and use the toilet or sleep through the night without wetting.
- Gradual Process: Alarm training is a gradual process, typically requiring approximately three months. Patience, motivation, and persistence are crucial. Improvement may be observed within 1-3 months, but achieving consistent dry nights can take up to 4 months. While effective, there is no 100% guarantee of success.
- Battery Type: Use only new Alkaline batteries. DO NOT use rechargeable batteries, as they may cause the alarm to malfunction (e.g., quiet ticking sound, vibration only).
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the sensor to maintain its sensitivity.

3. Attaching the Alarm
The alarm unit can be attached to the pajama top or to the arm using the adjustable armband. Ensure the sensor is securely clipped to the child's underwear, where it can detect the first drop of urine. It is recommended to pull the child's underpants down to their knees for easier attachment.

4. Adjusting the Armband
If using the armband, adjust its length to ensure a snug but comfortable fit on the child's arm. The armband should be secure enough not to fall off during sleep.

Operating Instructions
1. Operation Modes
The DRYEASY alarm offers three operation modes, selectable via switches located inside the battery compartment to prevent accidental changes:
- Sound plus Vibration: The alarm will both sound and vibrate upon detecting moisture.
- Sound Only: The alarm will only produce sound.
- Vibration Only: The alarm will only vibrate.
2. Volume Control and Sound Options
The alarm features 4 levels of digital volume control, supporting a maximum loudness of 85 dB. There are 6 selectable sounds (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3) to suit user preference and prevent auditory accommodation. You can choose a single sound or set the alarm to play the 6 sounds at random.

3. How the Alarm Works (Two-Step Turn-Off)
The alarm is designed to activate immediately upon detecting moisture. It features a two-step turn-off system to ensure the child fully wakes up. To stop the alarm:
- Unclip the sensor from the underwear.
- Press the reset button on the alarm unit.
Alternatively, you can hold the reset button down while unclipping the sensor. Holding the reset button snoozes the alarm even if the sensor is still attached to wet underwear.
To test the alarm's functionality, please refer to the video below:

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Sensor
The sensor needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain its sensitivity and ensure accurate moisture detection. Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the sensor clip after each use. Ensure it is completely dry before storage or next use.
2. Battery Replacement
If the alarm produces only a quiet ticking sound or only vibrates without sound, the batteries are likely dead. Replace them with new Alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Alarm won't stop sounding. | This alarm has a two-step turn-off feature. Unclip the sensor and press the reset button. If the alarm unit itself is wet, disconnect the cord, remove batteries, and blow dry the battery compartment and socket. |
| Difficult to clip sensor to underwear. | The clip is designed for secure attachment. Practice a few times. It's easier to attach by pulling the child's underpants down to their knees. |
| Only quiet ticking sound instead of alarm. | Battery is likely dead. Replace with new Alkaline batteries. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries. |
| Only vibration works, no sound. | Battery is likely dead. Replace with new Alkaline batteries. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries. |
| Sensor doesn't detect moisture. | The sensor may be dirty. Clean it regularly to maintain sensitivity. |
| Armband falls off easily. | The armband length is adjustable. Follow instructions to install it securely. |
| Device does not wake child. | It is common for children not to respond initially. Parents need to help wake the child when the alarm goes off. The child will gradually learn to wake independently. |
| Not usable with diapers or pull-ups. | The sensor should be clipped onto underwear. Diapers or pull-ups can be worn over underwear. |
