Setup
Step 1: Battery Installation
Install the provided Ni-MH battery pack into the cordless handset. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset, open the cover, connect the battery pack connector, and place the battery into the compartment. Close the cover securely.

Step 2: Base Unit Connection
Connect the AC power adapter to the base unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Then, connect one end of the telephone line cord to the base unit and the other end to a telephone wall jack.

Step 3: Initial Charging
Place the handset on the base unit with the display facing up. The handset will begin charging. Allow the handset to charge for at least 12 hours before its first use to ensure optimal battery performance.

Step 4: Date and Time Setting

Operating the System
Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Press TALK or FLASH, then dial the phone number.
- To Answer a Call: When the phone rings, press TALK or any dialing key (0-9, #, *).
- To End a Call: Press OFF or place the handset back on the base unit.
Answering System Functions
The base unit features a digital answering system to record messages when you are unavailable.

- Turn Answering System On/Off: Press the ANS ON/OFF button on the base unit.
- Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit. The message counter will display the number of new messages.
