Important Safety Information

- Digital Display: Shows current time, radio frequency, and alarm indicators.
- PROJECTION Button: Activates or deactivates the time projection.
- ROTATE Button: Rotates the projected time image 180 degrees.
- TIME SET Button (Unlabeled, next to ROTATE): Used to enter time setting mode.
- HR (Hour) Button: Adjusts the hour during time or alarm setting.
- MIN (Minute) Button: Adjusts the minute during time or alarm setting.
- ALARM 1 Button (Unlabeled, next to AUX): Sets or activates Alarm 1.
- ALARM 2 Button (Unlabeled, next to ALARM 1): Sets or activates Alarm 2.
- AUX Button: Switches to AUX input mode.
- TUNING - / + Buttons (Unlabeled, next to ALARM 2): Tunes radio frequency down or up.
- VOLUME - / + Buttons (Unlabeled, next to TUNING +): Adjusts the volume level.
- SNOOZE/DIMMER Button: Activates snooze during an alarm or adjusts display brightness when not alarming.
- Projection Lens: Projects the time onto a surface. Can be tilted to adjust projection angle.
Setup
Power Connection
Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit. Then, plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will light up.
Battery Backup Installation
For battery backup, open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit. Insert 2 new AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+ and -). Close the compartment cover. These batteries will preserve your time and alarm settings in the event of a power outage.
Initial Time Setting
- Press and hold the TIME SET button (unlabeled, next to ROTATE) until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Press the HR button repeatedly to set the correct hour. Pay attention to AM/PM indicators if present.
- Press the MIN button repeatedly to set the correct minute.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and exit time setting mode. The time will stop flashing.
Operating Instructions
Setting the Alarm
Your Muse M-178 has two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Use the HR button to set the desired alarm hour.
- Use the MIN button to set the desired alarm minute.
- Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio). The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
- Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button one more time to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
To turn an alarm ON or OFF, simply press the corresponding ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button briefly. The alarm icon will appear or disappear from the display.
Using the Radio
- Press the POWER button (if available, otherwise it's always on in clock mode) to turn on the radio.
- Press the BAND button (if available, otherwise it's FM/MW by default) to select FM or MW band.
- Use the TUNING - / + buttons to manually tune to your desired radio station.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME - / + buttons.
Time Projection
- Press the PROJECTION button to turn the time projection ON or OFF.
- Tilt the projection lens on top of the unit to adjust the angle of the projected time on your ceiling or wall.
- If the projected time is upside down, press the ROTATE button to flip the image 180 degrees.
Snooze Function
When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.
Dimmer Function
When the alarm is not sounding, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through different display brightness levels (e.g., High, Low, Off).
AUX-in Connection
Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX-in jack on the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Press the AUX button to switch to AUX input mode. Audio from your external device will now play through the clock radio's speaker.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may damage the surface. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
Battery Replacement
If the unit experiences frequent power outages or if the battery backup function seems unreliable, replace the AAA batteries in the battery compartment. Always use new batteries and dispose of old ones responsibly.
Troubleshooting
