Setup
Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Thomas engine.
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, carefully unscrew the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
To activate the motorized function, locate the power switch on the top of the Thomas engine. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to start the engine. Slide the switch to the 'OFF' position to stop the engine.

Using on Tracks
Place the Thomas engine onto any compatible TrackMaster track system. Ensure all wheels are properly seated on the rails before turning the engine on. The engine is designed to run forward along the track.
Using on Flat Surfaces
The Thomas engine can also operate on smooth, flat surfaces such as hardwood floors or tables. Avoid using on carpeted surfaces as this may impede movement and drain batteries faster.
