- Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
- Gather necessary tools (e.g., pipe wrenches, pliers, drill, level).
- Turn off the main water supply to your shower.
- Remove your existing showerhead and shower arm.
2.2 General Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Water Supply: Install the provided brass nipple into the existing water supply line in the wall. Ensure proper length and sealing.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Water Flow Control:
The system uses a diverter located on the slide bar to switch between the rain showerhead and the handheld shower. Rotate the diverter knob to select your desired water outlet.

3.2 Using Both Showerheads Simultaneously:
The diverter allows for a smooth transition between the rain showerhead and the handheld shower. By positioning the diverter knob halfway between the two extreme settings, you can operate both showerheads concurrently. Note that water pressure may be distributed between the two outlets when both are active.
3.3 Handheld Shower Functions:
The handheld shower features 5 distinct spray functions. Rotate the spray face of the handheld shower to cycle through these different patterns to find your preferred setting.

3.4 Adjusting Handheld Height:
The handheld shower holder can be adjusted vertically along the slide bar. Press the button or lever on the holder to release it, slide it to the desired height, and then release to secure its position.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Showerheads:
The rain showerhead and handheld shower feature "rub-clean soft tips" with Spray Straight technology. To remove mineral buildup, simply rub the silicone nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth. This should be done regularly to maintain optimal spray performance.

4.2 General Cleaning:
- Clean the brushed nickel finish with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.

5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PULSE ShowerSpas Kauai III system, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips. For more detailed guidance, consult the official User Guide (PDF) or User Manual (PDF).
5.1 Low Water Pressure:
- Check for Mineral Buildup: Clean the rub-clean soft tips on both showerheads as described in the Maintenance section.
- Inspect Water Supply: Ensure the main water supply valve is fully open.
- Check for Kinks: Verify that the handheld shower hose is not kinked or obstructed.
- Consider Flow Restrictors: Some units may have flow restrictors. Consult the installation manual for information on these components and local plumbing codes regarding their removal.
5.2 Leaks:
- Tighten Connections: Ensure all threaded connections are securely tightened. Do not overtighten.
- Check O-Rings/Washers: Verify that all O-rings and washers are properly seated and not damaged. Replace if necessary.
- Plumber's Tape: Ensure plumber's tape was applied correctly to all threaded connections during installation.
5.3 Diverter Not Switching Properly:
- Mineral Buildup: Mineral deposits can affect diverter operation. Try rotating the diverter knob back and forth several times to dislodge any buildup.
- Internal Obstruction: If the issue persists, the diverter may require inspection for internal obstructions or wear.
