Charging a Battery

  2. Insert the DEWALT XR Lithium-Ion battery into the charger, aligning the battery with the charger's slot. Push firmly until it clicks into place.
  3. Observe the LED indicator on the charger.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Charger not working:
    • Check if the charger is properly plugged into a live power outlet.
    • Ensure the power outlet is functional.
  • Battery not charging (LED flashing fast red):
    • The battery might be too hot or too cold. Move the battery and charger to a room temperature environment and allow it to acclimate. Charging will resume automatically.
  • Battery not charging (LED flashing slow red):
    • This indicates a faulty or damaged battery. Do not attempt to charge it. Replace the battery.
  • Battery not fitting into charger:
    • Ensure you are using a compatible DEWALT XR Lithium-Ion battery (10.8V, 14.4V, or 18V).
    • Check for any obstructions in the battery slot or on the battery itself.
