WARNING: Improper installation or use can lead to fire, electric shock, or personal injury. Always consult a qualified electrician for installation.
- Ensure the sauna room is properly constructed and insulated according to local building codes and manufacturer recommendations.

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.
3.2 Placement
The Harvia Cilindro PC70 is a freestanding model. Place the heater on a level, non-combustible floor surface within the sauna room, ensuring all safety distances are met.

It is a tall, cylindrical unit constructed with a stainless steel outer grid, designed to hold a large quantity of sauna stones. The base of the heater features two integrated control knobs for operation. The Harvia logo is visible near the top of the grid.
3.3 Electrical Connection
Electrical installation must be performed by a certified electrician in accordance with all applicable national and local regulations. The heater is equipped with an integrated control unit.
- For 3-phase connection (400V 3N~): Use a 5x1.5mm² connection cable and a 3x10A fuse.
- For single-phase connection (230V 1N~): Use a 3x6mm² connection cable and a 1x35A fuse.
Note: Sauna stones and the silicone connection cable are not included with the heater and must be purchased separately.
3.4 Stone Placement
Place the sauna stones carefully into the stone chamber. Ensure proper air circulation by not packing the stones too tightly. The maximum stone capacity is 80 kg. Use stones with a diameter of 5-10 cm.
4. Operating Instructions
The Harvia Cilindro PC70 features an integrated control unit with switches conveniently located at the bottom front of the heater.
- Power On/Off: Use the designated switch to turn the heater on or off.
- Temperature Control: Adjust the temperature knob to set your desired sauna temperature.
- Heat Intensity: For a softer heat, pour water onto the side of the heater. For a stronger, more intense steam, pour water directly onto the top of the stone column. Always use clean water.
CAUTION: Do not pour excessive amounts of water at once, as this can cause steam burns or damage the heating elements.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Stone Maintenance
Over time, sauna stones may crumble or lose their heat retention properties. Inspect the stones regularly (at least once a year) and replace any broken or worn-out stones to ensure optimal performance and safety. Rearrange stones to maintain good air circulation.
5.2 Cleaning
Ensure the heater is cool and disconnected from power before cleaning. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Harvia Cilindro PC70 heater, please check the following common points before contacting service:
- Heater not heating: Check the power supply and fuses. Ensure the control unit is set correctly.
- Insufficient heat: Verify the sauna room size is within the recommended range (6-10 m³). Check stone condition and arrangement for proper air circulation. Ensure the sauna room is well-insulated.
- Excessive steam/water splashing: Ensure water is poured slowly and in appropriate amounts.
For persistent issues, contact a qualified service technician or your Harvia dealer.
