Setup

Follow these steps to properly set up your Xbox One Kinect Sensor:

  1. Placement: Position the Kinect Sensor on a flat, stable surface, preferably above or below your television. Ensure it has a clear, unobstructed view of your play area.
  2. Connection to Xbox One (Original Model): Connect the Kinect Sensor cable directly to the dedicated Kinect port on the back of your original Xbox One console.
  3. Connection to Xbox One S/X (with Adapter):
    • Connect the Kinect Sensor cable to the Kinect Adapter.
    • Plug the USB cable from the adapter into a USB 3.0 port on the back of your Xbox One S or Xbox One X console.
    • Connect the power cable from the adapter to a power outlet.
  4. Power On: Turn on your Xbox One console. The console should automatically detect the Kinect Sensor.
  5. Calibration: Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the Kinect Sensor for optimal performance. This includes adjusting the camera angle and microphone settings.
