1. Introduction
The Nerf Pro-Cam Blaster ECS-12 is an N-Strike Elite blaster designed for dart-firing action with an integrated camera system. 2. Setup
2.1. Battery Installation
The Nerf Pro-Cam Blaster ECS-12 requires 8 AA batteries for operation. Four batteries power the camera, and four power the motorized firing mechanism. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
- Locate the battery compartments on the blaster. There are two compartments, one on each side of the blaster's main body.
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment covers.
- Insert 4 AA batteries into each compartment, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment covers and secure them with the screws.

2.2. SD Card Installation
The blaster includes a 4GB SD card for storing recorded media. Insert the SD card into the designated slot, typically located near the camera screen, until it clicks into place.
2.3. Loading Darts
The blaster uses N-Strike Elite darts. Load the darts into the included magazine before inserting the magazine into the blaster.
- Hold the magazine with the open end facing upwards.
- Insert darts one by one into the magazine until it is full (up to 12 darts).
- Insert the loaded magazine into the magazine well on the underside of the blaster until it clicks securely into place.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1. Firing the Blaster
- Ensure the blaster has fresh batteries and a loaded magazine.
- Press and hold the acceleration trigger (usually located below the main trigger) to power up the motor. You will hear the motor whirring.
- While holding the acceleration trigger, pull the main trigger to fire a dart.
3.2. Camera Operation
The integrated camera allows for recording video and taking photos. The camera screen provides a live view of the action.
- Turn on the blaster's power. The camera screen should activate.
- Use the control buttons near the screen to switch between video recording and photo capture modes.
- Press the record/capture button to start or stop video recording, or to take a photo.

3.3. Viewing Recorded Footage
To view your recorded videos and photos:
- Turn off the blaster.
- Carefully remove the SD card from its slot.
- Insert the SD card into a compatible card reader connected to a computer or other viewing device.
- Access the files on the SD card to view or transfer your media.

4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning
To maintain your blaster, wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge the blaster in water or use harsh chemicals, as this can damage electronic components.
4.2. Dart Care
Use only official Nerf N-Strike Elite darts. Inspect darts regularly for damage. Damaged darts can affect blaster performance and may cause jams.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1. Blaster Not Firing
- Check Batteries: Ensure all 8 AA batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Magazine Check: Verify the magazine is fully inserted and contains darts.
- Acceleration Trigger: Confirm the acceleration trigger is held down completely before pulling the main trigger.
- Dart Jam: Check for any jammed darts in the firing mechanism or barrel. Clear any obstructions carefully.
5.2. Camera Not Recording/Displaying
- SD Card: Ensure the 4GB SD card is properly inserted. If the card is full, transfer files to a computer and delete them from the card, or use a new card.
- Battery Power: The camera requires battery power. Ensure batteries are fresh.
- Screen Glare: In bright conditions, screen visibility may be reduced. Try to operate in shaded areas or adjust your viewing angle.
