Operating Instructions
1. Loading Bicycles
The MENABO Stand Up 3 Bike Rack is designed to carry up to three bicycles. Place the first bicycle onto the rack, ensuring its frame fits securely into the cradles. The rack is compatible with bicycle frames ranging from 40 mm to 90 mm in diameter.
Secure the bicycle using the provided straps or clamps. Repeat this process for the remaining bicycles, ensuring even weight distribution and that the total weight does not exceed 45 kg (99.2 lbs).

2. Driving with the Rack
Before driving, perform a final check to ensure all bicycles are securely fastened and the rack itself is tightly secured to the vehicle. Drive cautiously, especially when turning or braking, and be mindful of the increased length and width of your vehicle due to the loaded rack.
Note that with bicycles loaded, accessing the vehicle's trunk or tailgate may be restricted or require temporary removal of the bikes.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your MENABO Stand Up 3 Bike Rack. The rack is constructed from high-quality steel, designed for durability.
- Cleaning: Clean the rack periodically with mild soap and water, especially after exposure to dirt, salt, or harsh weather conditions. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent corrosion.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all straps, buckles, bolts, and frame components for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Lubrication: Apply a light lubricant to moving parts and threads of bolts as needed to ensure smooth operation and prevent seizing.
- Storage: When not in use, store the bike rack in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your bike rack.
- Rack Wobbles After Installation:
Solution: Ensure all mounting straps are pulled taut and securely fastened. Check that the rack is properly seated on the vehicle's contact points. Re-adjust and re-tighten as necessary.
- Bicycles Not Secure:
Solution: Verify that bicycle frames are correctly positioned in the cradles and that all securing straps/clamps are tightly fastened around the bike frames and wheels. Ensure the frame diameter is within the specified 40-90 mm range.
- Difficulty Opening Trunk/Tailgate:
Solution: This is a common characteristic of rear-mounted bike racks, especially when loaded. It may be necessary to remove the bicycles or the entire rack to fully access the trunk. Some vehicles may allow partial opening with the rack installed.
- Scratches on Vehicle Paint:
Solution: Always ensure that all contact points between the rack and your vehicle are clean and free of debris. Consider using protective films or pads on your vehicle's paint where the rack makes contact to prevent scratches.
