Maintenance and Care

Cleaning Instructions

  • Exterior: Wipe the polycarbonate shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
  • Interior: The interior lining can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Allow to air dry completely before closing the suitcase.
  • Wheels and Zippers: Periodically check wheels for debris and clean as needed. Lubricate zippers with a silicone-based spray if they become stiff.

Storage

Store your suitcase in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the suitcase during storage to prevent deformation.

Troubleshooting

  • Lock will not open: Ensure you are using the correct 3-digit combination. If you have forgotten it, there is no master key or reset code. You may need to try combinations or contact Samsonite customer service for assistance.
  • Telescopic handle is stiff: Ensure no debris is obstructing the handle mechanism. Gently pull and push the handle while pressing the release button. Avoid forcing the handle.
  • Wheels are not rolling smoothly: Check for hair, lint, or other debris caught in the wheel axles. Clean thoroughly. If a wheel is damaged, contact Samsonite for repair options.
  • Zippers are stuck: Do not force a stuck zipper. Try applying a small amount of zipper lubricant or a graphite pencil lead to the teeth to help it move.
