3. Package Contents

4. Compatibility

5. Setup and Installation

• Marker or pencil

Installation Steps:

1. Positioning: Carefully place the backrest on the desired mounting location on the top case. Ensure it is centered and aligned properly for passenger comfort.
2. Marking Drill Points: Using the backrest as a template, mark the exact locations for drilling the mounting holes on the top case. The underside of the backrest (Figure 5.1) shows the pre-drilled holes for alignment.

3. Drilling Holes: Carefully drill holes through the top case at the marked locations. Ensure the drill bit size matches the supplied screws to allow for a snug fit without stripping.
4. Attaching the Backrest: Align the backrest with the newly drilled holes. Insert the supplied screws from the inside of the top case through the drilled holes and into the backrest's mounting points.
5. Securing: Tighten the screws firmly but do not overtighten, as this may damage the top case or the backrest. Ensure the backrest is securely attached and does not wobble.

Note: Some users have opted for alternative mounting methods like industrial-strength Velcro to avoid drilling, though this is not the manufacturer's recommended installation method and may affect security.
