3. Operation
Your Franke Fragranit sink is designed for daily kitchen use.
3.1. Water Flow
Use the faucet to control water flow and temperature. Ensure the drain stopper is open when filling the sink to prevent overflow.
3.2. Drain Usage
The sink features a grid-type drain. For models with an eccentric control, turn the knob to open or close the drain.
4. Care and Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Franke Fragranit sink.
4.1. Daily Cleaning
- Clean the sink daily with warm water and a mild dish soap.
- Use a soft cloth or sponge.
- Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove all soap residue.
- Dry the sink with a soft cloth to prevent water spots, especially in hard water areas.
4.2. Stain Removal
- For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for granite or composite sinks.
- Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemical cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia-based products) as they can damage the surface.
- For limescale deposits, use a diluted vinegar solution or a specialized limescale remover, then rinse thoroughly.
4.3. Preventing Damage
- Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects into the sink, which can cause chips or cracks.
- Do not place hot pots or pans directly onto the sink surface without protection, as extreme temperature changes can cause thermal shock.
- Do not use the sink as a cutting surface.
- Avoid contact with strong acids or alkalis.
The sink's color is Glacier (white).

5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
5.1. Slow Draining
- Check for food debris or blockages in the drain strainer.
- If the blockage is further down, a plumbing snake or chemical drain cleaner (used sparingly and according to product instructions) may be required.
5.2. Water Spots/Limescale
- Ensure the sink is dried after each use.
- Use a diluted vinegar solution or a commercial limescale remover.
5.3. Surface Scratches
- Fragranit is highly scratch-resistant, but not scratch-proof. Minor surface marks may appear over time.
- For deeper scratches, consult a professional or Franke customer support.
