5. Setup
5.1 Inserting the Battery
- Open the battery/memory card cover located on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the NP-BN battery with the correct orientation, ensuring the contacts align.
- Close the cover securely.
5.2 Charging the Battery
- Connect the Multi USB cable to the camera's USB port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the AC Adaptor AC-UB10C.
- Plug the AC Adaptor into a wall outlet. The charge lamp will illuminate during charging.
- Charging is complete when the charge lamp turns off. The camera also supports USB charging directly from a computer.
5.3 Inserting a Memory Card
- Open the battery/memory card cover.
- Insert a compatible memory card (SD/SDHC/SDXC or Memory Stick Duo/Pro Duo/Pro-HG Duo) into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the correct orientation.
- Close the cover securely.
5.4 Initial Settings (Date/Time)
Upon first power-on or after the battery has been removed for an extended period, you may need to set the date, time, and language. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure these settings.
