4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation

- Enter 961. The green light will flash twice.
- Press the CHAN UP button once.
- Press the SELECT button. The green light will flash twice.
- Test the remote by trying to change channels or access the guide.
4.3. Programming the Remote for your Television
To control your television's power and volume with the RC66X remote, you need to program it with your TV's brand code.
- Turn on your television.
- Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons simultaneously until the green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.
- Enter the 5-digit TV code for your television brand. (Common codes can be found in your TV's manual or online. If you don't have a code, try the code search method below.) The green light will flash twice.
- Point the remote at your TV and press the PWR (TV Power) button. If the TV turns off, the code is correct.
- If the TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code for your TV brand.
Code Search Method (if you don't know your TV code):
- Turn on your television.
- Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons simultaneously until the green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.
- Enter 991. The green light will flash twice.
- Press the CHAN UP button repeatedly (slowly, about every 2 seconds) while pointing the remote at your TV. Stop when your TV turns off.
- Once the TV turns off, press the SELECT button to lock in the code. The green light will flash twice.
- Test the remote by turning the TV on/off and adjusting the volume.
