2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
- Do not place any object between the oven front face and the oven door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
- Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the door (bent), hinges and latches (broken or loosened), or door seals and sealing surfaces.
- The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
- Always ensure proper ventilation around the microwave.
- Do not heat liquids or other foods in closed containers since they are liable to explode.
- Never use the microwave for anything other than heating food or water-washed items.
3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the microwave oven from its carton. Remove all packing materials from inside the oven cavity and from the door. Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not install if the oven is damaged.
3.2 Placement
Place the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it. Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving a minimum of 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the sides, top, and rear of the oven for proper airflow.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will help prolong the life of your microwave oven and ensure optimal performance.
5.1 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
5.2 Cleaning the Interior
Clean the interior cavity regularly, especially after spills. For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with a few lemon slices inside and microwave for 2-3 minutes until steam fills the cavity. This will loosen food particles, making them easier to wipe away. Always ensure the interior is dry after cleaning to prevent rust, particularly along seams and under the turntable.

5.3 Turntable and Roller Ring
The glass turntable and roller ring can be removed for cleaning. Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
5.4 Magnetron Window
The magnetron window (a silver-grey cover, typically on the upper right inside the oven) should be wiped down every few months to remove food vapor deposits. If these deposits are not removed, they can catch fire. After wiping, allow the area to dry for several hours before using the microwave.
