3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel and Display

4. Initial Setup
4.1 Power Connection
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN socket on the rear of the radio.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
4.2 Antenna Connection
For optimal DAB+ and FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully.
4.3 First Time Power On and Network Configuration
- Press the On/Off button to power on the unit.
- The display will prompt you to select a language. Use the Tuning/Select knob to scroll and press to confirm.
- The radio will then guide you through network setup. You can choose between Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet connection.
- For Wi-Fi: Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password using the knob and select button.
- For Ethernet: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the LAN port on the radio. The connection should be established automatically.
- Once connected, the radio will update its time and date automatically.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Controls
- Power On/Off: Press the On/Off button on the unit or remote.
- Volume: Use Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the unit or remote to adjust volume.
- Mode: Press the Mode button to switch between Internet Radio, DAB+, FM, and AUX-IN.
- Menu: Press the Menu button to access settings and options for the current mode.
- Back: Press the Back button to return to the previous menu or screen.
- Tuning/Select Knob: Rotate to scroll through lists or adjust settings. Press to confirm a selection.
5.2 Internet Radio
Access thousands of radio stations from around the world via your internet connection.
- Select Internet Radio mode using the Mode button.
- Navigate through categories such as 'Location', 'Genre', or 'Popular Stations' using the Tuning/Select knob.
- Press the knob to select a category, then scroll and select your desired station.
- Presets: To save a station, press and hold the Preset button until 'Preset Store' appears. Use the knob to select a preset number (1-10) and press to confirm. To recall a preset, briefly press the Preset button, then select the desired number.
5.3 DAB+ Radio
Enjoy high-quality digital radio broadcasts.
- Select DAB+ mode using the Mode button.
- The radio will automatically perform a full scan for available DAB+ stations on first use. You can initiate a scan manually via the Menu.
- Use the Tuning/Select knob to scroll through the list of available stations. Press to select a station.
- Presets: Saving and recalling DAB+ presets works the same as for Internet Radio.
5.4 FM Radio
Tune into traditional analog FM broadcasts.
- Select FM mode using the Mode button.
- Use the Tuning/Select knob to manually tune to a frequency.
- To auto-scan for stations, press the Tuning/Select knob briefly. The radio will scan and stop at the next strong station.
- Presets: Saving and recalling FM presets works the same as for Internet Radio.
5.5 Network Player (uPnP)
Stream music from compatible devices on your local network.
- Ensure your media server (e.g., PC with uPnP software) is active and connected to the same network as the radio.
- Select Network Player mode (may be listed as 'Media Player' or 'uPnP' in the Mode menu).
- The radio will scan for available media servers. Select your server from the list.
- Browse your music library by artist, album, genre, etc., using the Tuning/Select knob and button.
5.6 AUX-IN
Connect external audio devices like MP3 players or smartphones.
- Connect an audio cable (3.5mm jack, not supplied) from your external device's headphone or line-out port to the AUX-IN port on the radio.
- Select AUX-IN mode using the Mode button.
- Control playback from your external device. Adjust volume using the radio's controls.
5.7 Alarm and Sleep Timer
- Alarm: Press the Alarm button on the unit or remote. Follow the on-screen prompts to set alarm time, source (radio, tone, AUX-IN), volume, and recurrence (once, daily, weekends, weekdays).
- Sleep Timer: Press the Sleep button on the unit or remote. Select the desired sleep duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes) after which the radio will automatically turn off.
5.8 Equalizer Settings
Adjust the audio output to your preference.
- Access the Equalizer settings through the Menu.
- Choose from preset equalizer modes (e.g., Normal, Jazz, Rock, Classical) or select 'My EQ' to manually adjust bass and treble levels.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: If not using the radio for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Antenna: Handle the telescopic antenna carefully to avoid damage.
