Operating Instructions

The Mr. Beams MB312 Mini Spotlight is designed for automatic operation based on motion and ambient light conditions.

  • Motion Sensor: The integrated Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects movement within its range (up to 25 feet). For optimal detection, position the light where movement will occur across the sensor's field of view rather than directly towards it.
  • Photocell (Light Sensor): The spotlight includes a photocell that prevents it from activating during daylight hours. It will only turn on when motion is detected in low-light conditions or darkness.
  • Automatic Shut-off: Once activated, the light will remain on for approximately 30 seconds. If motion continues to be detected within this period, the light will stay on until no motion has been sensed for 30 seconds.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes or the unit stops activating, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the "Battery Installation" steps in the Setup section to replace the 3 C-cell batteries. Always use fresh, high-quality batteries for best performance. Rechargeable batteries can also be used.

Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, periodically wipe the lens and sensor area with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
