2. Setup and Mounting

2.1 Mounting the Riflescope

Mount your Crossfire II riflescope using appropriate 30mm rings and a compatible base. Ensure proper alignment and secure fastening according to the ring and base manufacturer's instructions. Use the lowest ring height that provides complete clearance of the scope and rifle components, avoiding any contact with the barrel, receiver, bolt handle, or any other part of the rifle. This helps assure proper cheek weld, aids in establishing a solid shooting position, and promotes fast target acquisition.

2.2 Battery Installation

The V-Brite illuminated reticle requires a CR2032 battery. To install, unscrew the illumination control cap, insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards, and then securely replace the cap.

2.3 Adjusting Eye Relief and Reticle Focus

The Crossfire II features long eye relief and an ultra-forgiving eye box, allowing for quick sight picture acquisition. To adjust the fast focus eyepiece for a sharp reticle:

  1. Hold the riflescope up to a light-colored wall or the sky.
  2. Look through the eyepiece and quickly glance away.
  3. If the reticle appears blurry, rotate the fast focus eyepiece until the reticle is sharp and clear.

2.4 Zeroing the Riflescope

The riflescope features capped reset turrets that are finger adjustable with MOA clicks. After mounting, follow these steps to zero your riflescope:

  1. Remove the turret caps.
  2. Make initial adjustments to bring the point of impact to the point of aim. Each click adjusts the bullet's point of impact by a specific MOA value.
  3. Once zeroed, you can reset the turrets to zero by lifting and rotating them without changing the internal settings, then replace the caps.

3. Operating Your Riflescope

3.1 Magnification Adjustment

The Crossfire II 1-4x24 offers a variable magnification range from 1x to 4x. Rotate the magnification adjustment ring located near the eyepiece to select your desired power setting.

3.2 Reticle Illumination Control

The V-Brite reticle features an illuminated center dot for enhanced visibility in low light conditions. The illumination control knob is located on the side of the riflescope. Rotate the knob to adjust the brightness level of the reticle. Turn it to '0' to switch off the illumination.

3.3 Windage and Elevation Adjustments

The riflescope is equipped with windage and elevation adjustment turrets. These turrets allow you to fine-tune your point of aim. Each click provides a precise adjustment, typically 1/2 MOA per click. Ensure the turret caps are securely fastened after making adjustments to protect the mechanisms.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Lenses

Use the provided lens cloth to gently wipe away dust and smudges from the riflescope lenses. For stubborn dirt or fingerprints, use a lens cleaning solution and a soft, clean cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens coatings.

4.2 Waterproof and Fogproof Performance

Your Crossfire II riflescope is O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, ensuring waterproof and fogproof performance. This means it will perform reliably in various weather conditions without internal fogging or water ingress.

4.3 Storage

Store the riflescope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always use the lens covers when not in use to protect the lenses from dust and scratches.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Blurry Reticle

If the reticle appears blurry, adjust the fast focus eyepiece. This adjustment is crucial for individual eyesight variations. Look through the eyepiece at a plain, light-colored background and quickly adjust the eyepiece until the reticle is perfectly sharp. Avoid staring through the scope while adjusting.

5.2 Reticle Not Illuminating

Check the CR2032 battery. Ensure it is correctly installed with the positive (+) side facing outwards and that it has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
