2. Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires two adults. Please follow these steps carefully.

4.1. Desk Assembly

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Identify all components against the package contents list.
2. Assemble Desk Leg Frames: Attach the horizontal support bars between the two vertical desk leg frames using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Ensure all connections are snug.
3. Attach Desk Top: Place the desk top panel upside down on your soft surface. Align the assembled desk leg frames with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the desk top. Secure with screws.
4. Assemble Side Shelf Unit: Connect the individual shelf panels to the vertical support of the side shelf unit using the designated hardware. Ensure shelves are level and secure. (Refer to the left side of Figure 1 for the shelf unit structure.)
5. Attach Side Shelf to Desk: Carefully align the side shelf unit with the designated attachment points on the desk frame. Secure the side shelf unit to the desk using the provided bolts and screws. Ensure a stable connection.

4.2. Chair Assembly

1. Assemble Chair Base: Connect the front and back chair leg frames using the horizontal support bars.
2. Attach Chair Seat: Place the chair seat onto the assembled chair base, aligning the pre-drilled holes. Secure with screws.
3. Attach Chair Backrest: Fasten the chair backrest to the chair seat and base using the remaining hardware. Ensure all connections are tight and the chair is stable. (Refer to the right side of Figure 1 for the chair structure.)

Once both the desk and chair are fully assembled, carefully turn them upright. Check all connections again to ensure they are tight and secure before use.

The Washington Writing Desk and Chair are designed for home office use, providing a functional workspace and storage.

• Desk Usage: Use the desk surface for writing, computer work, or other tasks. The integrated side shelf provides convenient storage for books, documents, or decorative items.
• Chair Usage: The accompanying chair is designed for comfortable seating at the desk. Ensure proper posture while seated.
• Weight Distribution: Distribute items evenly across the desk surface and shelves to prevent tipping or instability. Avoid placing excessively heavy objects on the top shelf.
