3. Setup

3.1 Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) to position 2 for date adjustment, or position 3 for time adjustment.
  2. Set the date: In position 2, turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the correct date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may damage the movement.
  3. Set the time: In position 3, turn the crown to move the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set by observing the date change.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 1 (normal operating position) to start the watch.

3.2 Adjusting the Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by removing or adding links. This procedure requires specialized tools and should ideally be performed by a qualified watchmaker or jeweler to prevent damage to the bracelet or clasp.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Using the Chronograph Function

The chronograph allows for precise measurement of elapsed time.

  1. Start: Press the upper pusher to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Stop: Press the upper pusher again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph second, minute, and day sub-dials.
  3. Reset: Press the lower pusher to reset the chronograph hands to their zero positions. The chronograph must be stopped before it can be reset.

4.2 Using the Unidirectional Bezel

The unidirectional rotating bezel can be used to measure elapsed time up to 60 minutes. It rotates only counter-clockwise to prevent accidental increases in measured time, which is crucial for diving safety.

  1. Rotate the bezel counter-clockwise to align the zero marker with the minute hand at the start of an event.
  2. Read the elapsed time by noting the position of the minute hand against the bezel's scale.

4.3 Water Resistance

Your Invicta Pro Diver watch is water-resistant to 200 meters (20 ATM / 660 feet). This rating makes it suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not for saturation diving.

  • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
  • Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water to prevent corrosion.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance of your watch.

  • Wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth.
  • For stainless steel, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2 Battery Replacement

The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump erratically (End-of-Life indicator), the battery needs to be replaced. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by an authorized service center to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

5.3 Water Resistance Checks

The water resistance of your watch is not permanent and may be affected by aging gaskets or accidental impacts. It is recommended to have the water resistance checked annually by an authorized service center, especially if the watch is frequently exposed to water.

5.4 Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields.
