1. Introduction

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking

3.2 Placement

For optimal sound, place the monitors on a stable, flat surface, such as a desktop or speaker stands. Ensure they are positioned to form an equilateral triangle with your listening position. The front-firing bass port allows for more flexible placement closer to walls if necessary, but experimentation is recommended for the best acoustic results.

3.3 Connections

1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied power cable to the monitor's power input and then to a suitable AC power outlet (100V).
2. Audio Input:
   • For a single monitor setup or linking two monitors: Use the included mini jack cable to connect your audio source (smartphone, tablet, MP3 player) to the 1/4" TRS Aux Input on the monitor.
   • To link two monitors for stereo sound: Connect the mini jack cable from your audio source to the Aux Input of one monitor. Then, use another mini jack cable (not included, or use the provided one if only one monitor is used) to connect the "Monitor Link" output of the first monitor to the "Monitor Link" input of the second monitor. This creates an instant stereo setup.
   • Alternatively, use the balanced XLR or 1/4" TRS inputs for professional audio interfaces.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Once connected, locate the power switch on the rear panel of the monitor. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the unit. The Tannoy logo on the front will illuminate. To power off, flip the switch to the 'OFF' position.

4.2 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the gain control knob on the rear panel. Start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level.
