Installation Instructions

Before beginning, ensure you have the correct replacement filter (Tier1 RWF1080). Refer to your refrigerator's user manual for specific filter housing location and removal instructions, as designs may vary.

Locate Filter Housing: Identify the water filter housing in your refrigerator. This is typically inside the fresh food compartment, in the base grille, or in an upper right corner.

Remove Old Filter:
- For twist-in filters: Turn the old filter counter-clockwise until it releases.

Restore Water Supply: Turn the water supply back on to the refrigerator.
Flush the System: Dispense approximately 2-3 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush out air and any carbon fines from the new filter. This may take a few minutes. The water may appear cloudy or discolored initially; this is normal. Continue flushing until the water runs clear.
Reset Filter Indicator: If your refrigerator has a filter change indicator light, reset it according to your refrigerator's instructions. This usually involves pressing and holding a "Filter Reset" button for a few seconds.
