Servo Channel Limit Function

Figure 4: Illustration of the servo channel limit function. This feature allows setting the servo angle to prevent mechanical damage by ensuring servo output remains within the mechanical travel limits of the connected component.

3. Setup

3.1 Transmitter Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the WFLY X9 transmitter.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert either a 1S LiPo battery or four AA dry batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: The transmitter supports a working voltage range of 3.5V to 6.0V.

3.2 Receiver Connection

  1. Connect the RG206S receiver to your RC vehicle's electronic speed controller (ESC) and servos.
  2. Ensure that the channels (CH1-CH6) on the receiver correspond to the correct functions (e.g., steering, throttle) on your vehicle.
  3. If using GPS or external voltage detection, connect the respective modules to the 'GPS' and 'Ext. Volt' ports on the receiver.

Note: The receiver supports a working voltage range of 3.5V to 9.0V.

3.3 Binding Procedure

To establish communication between the transmitter and receiver, a binding process is required:

  1. Turn off both the transmitter and receiver.
  2. Press and hold the 'SET' button on the RG206S receiver while powering it on. The receiver's LED indicator will flash rapidly, indicating it is in binding mode.
  3. Turn on the WFLY X9 transmitter.
  4. Navigate to the binding menu on the transmitter's touch screen (refer to the on-screen interface for specific steps).
  5. Initiate the binding process from the transmitter.
  6. Once binding is successful, the receiver's LED indicator will turn solid, and the transmitter will display a successful connection message.
  7. Turn off both devices and then power them on normally to confirm the connection.

4. Operation

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Steering Wheel: Controls the left/right direction of your RC vehicle.
  • Throttle Trigger: Pull to accelerate forward, push to brake or reverse.
  • Trims: Adjust the neutral position of steering and throttle channels for fine-tuning.
  • D/R (Dual Rate): Adjusts the maximum throw of steering or other channels.

4.2 Touch Screen Navigation

The WFLY X9 features a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen for easy navigation and configuration. Tap icons and menus to access various settings:

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging the Transmitter

If using a 1S LiPo battery, charge the transmitter via the Type-C USB port. Connect a standard USB charger (not included) to the Type-C port on the transmitter. The screen will indicate charging status.

5.2 Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the transmitter and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (-10℃ to +60℃ operating temperature).
  • Remove batteries from the transmitter if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.

5.3 Firmware Upgrade

The WFLY X9 supports USB online firmware upgrades. Visit the official WFLY website for the latest firmware versions and instructions. Connect the transmitter to your computer via a USB cable to perform the upgrade.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Common Issues

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Transmitter does not power on.Low or dead battery; incorrect battery installation.Charge or replace batteries; ensure correct polarity.
No control response from vehicle.Receiver not bound; receiver not powered; incorrect channel connections.Perform binding procedure; check receiver power supply; verify servo/ESC connections.
Short control range or signal loss.Interference; damaged antenna; low transmitter/receiver battery.Operate in an open area away from interference; check antenna for damage; ensure batteries are fully charged.
Servo jitters or moves erratically.Interference; faulty servo; power supply issues.Check for interference sources; test with a different servo; ensure stable power to receiver.
