3. Initial Setup
Battery Installation and Charging
- Open the battery/memory card cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the supplied NP-BN Lithium-Ion Battery into the battery compartment, ensuring correct orientation.
- Close the battery/memory card cover securely.
- Connect the camera to the AC-UB10 AC Adapter using the AV/USB Multi Cable. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet. The CHARGE lamp will light up, indicating charging is in progress.
- Charging is complete when the CHARGE lamp turns off.
Memory Card Insertion
The camera supports Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards, and their micro variants. A memory card is required to save photos and videos.
- Open the battery/memory card cover.
- Insert the memory card into the memory card slot with the correct orientation until it clicks into place.
- Close the battery/memory card cover.
Initial Power On
- Press the ON/OFF button to power on the camera.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set the date, time, and region.
4. Camera Operation
Basic Photography
- Power On: Press the ON/OFF button.
