Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Cable Matters Mini DisplayPort cable, please follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Storage: Store the cable in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling or kinking the cable, which can damage internal wires.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cable and connectors. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the cable's insulation or connector plating.
- Handling: Always grasp the connector head when plugging or unplugging the cable. Avoid pulling on the cable itself, as this can strain the connection points and lead to damage.
- Protection: Keep the connectors free from dust and debris. If not in use, consider using protective caps (if provided) to cover the connectors.
