Operating Instructions

  • Utilize the cord retention system to prevent accidental disconnection during use.
  • Plug the extension cord into a grounded 110-volt (US standard) electrical outlet.

Trimming Mode

To trim grass and weeds:

  1. Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands, maintaining a balanced stance.
  2. Press the trigger to start the motor.
  3. Swing the trimmer in a side-to-side motion, keeping the cutting head parallel to the ground.
  4. Avoid contact with hard objects, fences, or delicate plants.
  5. The Automatic Feed Spool (AFS) will automatically feed new line as needed, eliminating the need for manual bumping.

  1. Ensure the trimmer is unplugged before converting modes.
  2. Rotate the trimmer head 180 degrees until it locks into the edging position. The wheeled edge guide should be on the ground.
  3. Plug the trimmer back in.
  4. Place the wheeled edge guide on the hard surface (e.g., sidewalk, driveway) and walk along the edge, allowing the wheel to guide the cutting line.
  5. Maintain a steady pace for a consistent edge.
