Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all components are present and assemble the vacuum according to the following steps:

• Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
• Attach the main body to the floor nozzle until it clicks securely into place.
• Insert the handle into the top of the main body, ensuring it locks.
• Connect the hose to the back of the vacuum, aligning the tabs and pushing firmly.
• Store the included accessories (Hard Floor Hero, Pet Power Brush, Dusting Brush, 8” Crevice Tool) on the onboard storage posts for easy access.

Operating Instructions

Your Shark Navigator NV370 offers versatile cleaning modes:

• Upright Mode: For general floor cleaning. Plug the power cord into a suitable outlet. The power switch is located on the main body.
• Surface Selection: Use the brush roll control switch to select between bare floor cleaning (brush roll off) and carpet cleaning (brush roll on). This allows for optimal performance on different surfaces.
• Lift-Away Mode: Press the 'Lift-Away' button to detach the canister from the floor nozzle. This allows for portable cleaning of stairs, upholstery, and hard-to-reach areas.
• Using Attachments: In Lift-Away mode, attach desired tools to the end of the hose or the extension wand for specialized cleaning tasks. The long hose and handle provide extended reach for cleaning baseboards, ceilings, and high surfaces.
• Swivel Steering: The vacuum features swivel steering for excellent control and maneuverability around furniture and obstacles.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your vacuum:

• Emptying the Dust Cup: The extra-large-capacity dust cup should be emptied after each use or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line. Simply unhook the latches on the sides to remove the dust cup and empty its contents.
• Cleaning Filters: The Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology includes a HEPA filter and foam/felt filters. These should be cleaned regularly according to the instructions in the full user guide to maintain suction and filtration efficiency.
• Brush Roll Maintenance: Periodically check the brush roll for any tangled hair or debris and remove as necessary to ensure proper rotation.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Shark Navigator NV370, consider the following common solutions:

• No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check the circuit breaker if necessary.
• Loss of Suction: Empty the dust cup. Check all hoses and connections for blockages. Clean or replace filters as recommended.
• Brush Roll Not Spinning: Ensure the vacuum is in the correct mode for carpet cleaning. Check for obstructions in the brush roll area and clear any tangled hair or debris.
• Excessive Noise: While the vacuum may be a bit noisy due to its powerful motor, sudden increases in noise could indicate a blockage or a foreign object in the brush roll or hose. Disconnect power and inspect.
