Installation

The Dynasty Hardware Push Bar Panic Exit Device is designed for easy installation on wood or metal doors. The device is reversible, allowing it to be mounted on either a right-hand or left-hand swinging door.

Door Preparation

• Ensure your door measures between 30 and 36 inches in width.
• The overall length of the device is 31 inches. It can be cut to size to fit your specific door width.
• Prepare the door and frame according to the provided template (not included in this digital manual, refer to physical packaging for template).

Mounting the Device

1. Position the main push bar assembly on the interior side of the door.
2. Secure the device using the provided screws and fasteners.
3. Install the adjustable roller latch (strike plate) on the door frame stop, ensuring proper alignment with the main device.
4. Test the operation of the push bar to ensure the latch retracts smoothly and the door opens freely.

Operation

Standard Operation

To exit, simply push the horizontal bar. This action retracts the latch, allowing the door to open outwards.

Dogging Feature

The dogging feature allows the latch to remain retracted, converting the door into a push-pull function. This is particularly useful for high-traffic areas where the door needs to remain unlatched for extended periods.

1. Locate the dogging hole on the main push bar assembly.
2. Insert the provided dogging key into the hole.
3. Turn the key to retract the latch and hold it in the open position.
4. To re-engage the latch, turn the dogging key in the opposite direction.

Maintenance
