Key Components:

  • Power/Mode Control Knob: Used to turn the unit on/off and select operating modes (Fan Only, Low Heat, High Heat).
  • Thermostat Control Knob: Used to adjust the desired room temperature.
  • Front Grille: Air outlet for heated or fan-only air.
  • Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the heater is operating.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from walls, furniture, curtains, or other combustible materials. Do not place on soft surfaces like rugs or carpets that could block air intake.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords, power strips, or surge protectors with this heater.
  4. Initial Use: When the heater is operated for the first time, a slight odor may be present. This is normal and will disappear after a few minutes of operation.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Mode Control Knob clockwise to select the desired operating mode:
    • FAN ONLY: Activates the fan without heat.
    • LOW HEAT: Provides low heat output.
    • HIGH HEAT: Provides maximum heat output.
  2. Set Thermostat: Turn the Thermostat Control Knob to the desired temperature setting.
    • For continuous heat, turn the knob to its maximum setting.
    • To use the thermostat, turn the knob to the maximum setting until the room reaches a comfortable temperature. Then, slowly turn the knob counter-clockwise until the heater turns off. The heater will now cycle on and off to maintain this temperature.
  3. Power Off: To turn the heater off, turn the Power/Mode Control Knob counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet when not in use.

Safety Features:

  • Overheat Protection: This heater is equipped with a safety feature that automatically turns the unit off if it overheats. If this occurs, unplug the heater, allow it to cool for 30 minutes, and remove any obstructions. Plug it back in and resume operation.
  • Auto Shut-off (Tip-Over Switch): The heater will automatically shut off if it is accidentally tipped over. If this happens, place the heater upright on a stable surface. It should resume normal operation.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning is recommended to keep your heater operating efficiently.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always turn the heater off and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Allow the heater to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  3. Air Intake/Outlet: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust and lint from the air intake and outlet grilles. Do not attempt to open the heater for internal cleaning.
  4. Storage: When not in use, store the heater in its original packaging in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
