This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your RCA Dual Alarm Clock Radio. Controls and Functions:

  • SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER Button: Activates snooze, sets sleep timer, or adjusts display brightness.
  • RADIO Button: Turns radio on/off and switches between AM/FM bands.
  • MEMORY Button: Saves radio stations to presets.
  • ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 Buttons: Activates/deactivates and sets Alarm 1 or Alarm 2.
  • < / > Buttons: Adjusts time, tunes radio frequency, or navigates menus.
  • USB CHARGER Port: Provides power to charge compatible USB devices.
  • LINE IN Jack: Connects external audio devices.
  • DC 5V Input: Connects the AC power adapter.

Setup

1. Power Connection:

  1. Insert the small end of the AC power adapter into the DC 5V input jack on the back of the clock radio.
  2. Plug the other end of the AC power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The clock display will light up.

2. Battery Backup (Optional, Batteries Not Included):

For continuous timekeeping during power outages, install 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

3. Inserting Fashion Wraps:

Your clock radio comes with interchangeable fashion wraps. Gently slide the desired wrap into the clear outer casing of the unit until it is securely in place.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Time:

  1. Ensure the unit is powered on but the radio is off.
  2. Press and hold the TIME SET button (if available, otherwise use a combination, common for RCA is holding a button like ALARM 1/2 or MEMORY and then using arrow keys).
    (Note: Based on common RCA clock radio designs, the time set function is often integrated with other buttons. If there is no dedicated "TIME SET" button, try pressing and holding the "MEMORY" button or "ALARM 1" button until the time flashes.)
  3. While the hour digits are flashing, press the < or > buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the PM indicator if using 12-hour format.
  4. Press the TIME SET button again (or the same button you held initially) to switch to minute setting.
  5. Press the < or > buttons to adjust the minutes.
  6. Press the TIME SET button one more time (or wait a few seconds) to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2):

Both alarms can be set independently.

  1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 button (for Alarm 1) or ALARM 2 button (for Alarm 2) until the alarm time flashes on the display.
  2. While the hour digits are flashing, press the < or > buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  3. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to switch to minute setting.
  4. Press the < or > buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
  5. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio). Use < or > to choose.
  6. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button one more time (or wait a few seconds) to confirm and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.

To turn off a sounding alarm, press the corresponding ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button once. The alarm icon will disappear.

Using the Radio (AM/FM):

  1. Press the RADIO button to turn on the radio. Press again to switch between FM and AM bands.
  2. Press the < or > buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency.
  3. To auto-scan for stations, press and hold the < or > buttons for a few seconds until the frequency starts scanning. It will stop at the next strong station.
  4. To save a station as a preset:
    1. Tune to the desired station.
    2. Press the MEMORY button. A preset number will flash.
    3. Use the < or > buttons to select the desired preset number (e.g., P01, P02).
    4. Press the MEMORY button again to confirm and save.
  5. To recall a preset station, repeatedly press the MEMORY button until the desired preset number appears.
  6. To turn off the radio, press the RADIO button again until the display shows only the time.

Snooze Function:

When an alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.

Sleep Function:

The sleep function allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

  1. While the radio is playing, repeatedly press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER button to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
  2. Select your desired sleep duration. The radio will turn off automatically after this time.

Display Dimmer:

When the radio is off, repeatedly press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the display.

Using the Line-in Jack:

Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the LINE IN jack on the back of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). The unit will automatically switch to Line-in mode when a cable is inserted and an audio signal is detected. Control playback from your external device.

Using the USB Charging Port:

Plug your USB charging cable into the USB CHARGER port on the back of the unit to charge compatible devices. This port is for charging only and does not support data transfer.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Care: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity. Do not drop the unit or subject it to strong impacts.
  • Fashion Wraps: The multicolor fashion wraps can be removed and cleaned with a damp cloth if necessary. Ensure they are dry before reinserting.

Troubleshooting
