5. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure your vehicle's audio system is powered off to prevent damage.

  1. Identify RCA Connections: Locate the RCA output from your head unit (or signal processor) that feeds into your amplifier's input.
  2. Connect Input: Connect the RCA output from your head unit to the Input RCA jacks on the NVX XBRC. A 2-channel RCA patch cable (not included) is required for this connection.
  3. Connect Output: Connect the Output RCA jacks from the NVX XBRC to the RCA input jacks on your amplifier. Another 2-channel RCA patch cable (not included) is required for this connection.
  4. Choose Mounting Location: Select a convenient and accessible location for the remote control within your vehicle. Common locations include under the dash or in a custom-drilled hole.
  5. Mount the Remote:
    • Under-Dash Mounting: Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to secure the remote control to a flat surface under the dash. Ensure the knob is easily reachable.
    • Through-Hole Mounting: If desired, drill an appropriately sized hole in your chosen mounting surface. Insert the remote control through the hole and secure it using the provided hardware or a suitable method.
  6. Cable Management: Route all RCA cables securely, away from moving parts, heat sources, and potential interference.

Once all connections are made and the unit is mounted, you can power on your audio system.

6. Operating Instructions

The NVX XBRC Universal Bass Remote Control is straightforward to operate:

  • Adjusting Bass Level: Rotate the knob on the remote control clockwise to increase the bass output from your amplifier, and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
  • Optimal Setting: Start with the knob at a mid-level position. Adjust it gradually to achieve your desired bass response, ensuring the sound remains clear and undistorted.

7. Maintenance

The NVX XBRC requires minimal maintenance:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the remote control. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
