4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Positioning: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides for proper airflow. Do not place it against a wall or furniture that could obstruct the air vents.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (230 V ~ 50 Hz).
  4. Water Collection Tank: Ensure the water collection tank is correctly inserted into the unit.
  5. Continuous Drainage (Optional): For continuous operation without needing to empty the tank, connect a suitable drain hose (not included) to the continuous drainage outlet. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a floor drain or larger container.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel

  • ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
  • Digital Display: Shows the current relative humidity (RH%) and other operational indicators.
  • Up/Down Arrows: Use these buttons to set the desired humidity level. The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.

5.2 Starting Operation

  1. Plug in the dehumidifier.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button to power on the unit.
  3. Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to set your desired humidity level. A typical comfortable humidity range is between 40% and 60% RH.
  4. The unit will begin to operate, drawing in moist air and expelling dry air.

5.3 Automatic Shut-off

When the water collection tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off, and an indicator light or message may appear on the digital display. Empty the water tank and reinsert it correctly for the unit to resume operation.

5.4 Continuous Operation

For continuous dehumidification, especially in very damp conditions or when using the continuous drainage option, the unit can run without interruption until manually turned off or if power is lost.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Emptying the Water Tank

  1. When the tank is full, the unit will stop operating.
  2. Carefully pull out the water collection tank from the front of the unit.
  3. Empty the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty tank back into its position until it clicks securely. The unit will then resume operation.

6.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Locate the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use a dishwasher or dryer.
  5. Reinsert the dry filter into the unit.

6.3 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
