Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Do not place any of the following materials in the oven:paper,cardboard,plastic,or any materials that may catch fire or melt.
• Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

Setup and First Use

Unpacking:

1. Carefully remove the toaster oven and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove any packing materials,stickers,or protective film from the appliance.
3. Wash the baking tray and rack in warm,soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Placement:

• Place the toaster oven on a flat,stable,heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance (at least 4 inches of space on all sides).
• Do not place the oven directly under a cabinet or near flammable materials like curtains.

Before First Use:

It is recommended to run the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes on the "Bake" setting at 450°F (230°C) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate.

Operating Instructions

The upper dial controls the temperature and cooking function (Bake,Broil,Toast).

The lower dial controls the cooking time (up to 30 minutes) and includes a "Stay On" setting.

General Operation:

1. Place the baking rack in the desired position (upper for broiling/toasting,lower for baking).
2. Place food on the baking tray or directly on the rack,depending on the recipe.
3. Close the oven door.
4. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate when the oven is operating.

Toasting:

• Place items to be toasted directly on the wire rack.
• Turn the upper dial to the "TOAST" setting.
• Turn the lower dial (timer) to the desired toast shade (Light,Medium,Dark) or specific time. The oven will begin toasting.
• When the cycle is complete,the timer will chime,and the oven will turn off.

Baking:

• Place food on the baking tray and insert it into the oven.
• Turn the upper dial to the "BAKE" setting and select the desired temperature (e.g.,350°F,450°F).
• Turn the lower dial (timer) to the desired baking time. For times longer than 30 minutes,turn the dial to "STAY ON" and monitor cooking manually.
• When baking is complete,turn the timer dial to "OFF" and unplug the oven.

Broiling:

• Place food on the baking tray and insert it into the oven,typically on the upper rack position for best results.
• Turn the upper dial to the "BROIL" setting.
• Turn the lower dial (timer) to the desired broiling time. Broiling often requires shorter times and close monitoring.
• When broiling is complete,turn the timer dial to "OFF" and unplug the oven.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and appearance of your toaster oven.

Cleaning the Interior:

1. Always unplug the oven and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove the baking tray and wire rack. Wash them in warm,soapy water,rinse,and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains,a non-abrasive cleaner can be used.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads on the interior,as they can damage the surfaces.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft,damp cloth.
• For stainless steel surfaces,use a stainless steel cleaner for best results.
• Do not immerse the toaster oven in water or any other liquid.

Crumb Tray:

The toaster oven is equipped with a removable crumb tray. Pull out the crumb tray from the bottom front of the oven to empty crumbs. Clean regularly to prevent grease buildup and potential fire hazards.
