5.2. DVR Functionality

The HDHomeRun Connect is compatible with popular third-party DVR software, including Windows Media Center, Elgato EyeTV (for Mac), MythTV (for Linux), NextPVR, and MediaPortal. These software solutions allow you to record, pause, rewind, and schedule your favorite shows. An internet connection is typically required for guide data downloads for DVR functionality.

5.3. Device Compatibility

The HDHomeRun Connect streams to DLNA-compatible devices on your network. Compatible devices include:

  • Computers (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Smart TVs
  • Game Consoles (e.g., Xbox)
