4. Setup and Initial Connection

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the Class Booster 4500 from its packaging. Check for any signs of damage.
2. Placement: Position the unit on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials.
3. Power Connection: Ensure the unit's power switch is in the OFF position. Connect the power cord to a grounded 230V, 50/60 Hz AC outlet (Type E/F - 2 pins EU Hybrid plug).
4. Battery Preparation:
   • Clean battery terminals of any corrosion.
   • For non-sealed batteries, check electrolyte levels and top up with distilled water if necessary.
5. Connecting to Battery:
   • Connect the RED (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
   • Connect the BLACK (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. For in-vehicle charging, connect the black clamp to a metal part of the vehicle chassis away from the battery and fuel line.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Battery Charging

1. Ensure the charger is connected to the battery and power supply as described in Section 4.
2. Select the appropriate charging voltage (12V or 24V) on the control panel to match your battery's voltage.
3. Turn the power switch to the ON position. The ammeter will indicate the charging current.
4. Monitor the charging process. For sealed batteries (AGM), it is recommended to closely monitor the end of the charge cycle to prevent overcharging.
5. Once charging is complete (ammeter reads near zero or battery voltage stabilizes), turn the power switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the clamps in reverse order: first the BLACK (-) clamp, then the RED (+) clamp.

5.2. Engine Starting (Booster Function)

The Class Booster 4500 can provide a quick boost to start an engine with a discharged battery.

1. Ensure the charger is connected to the battery and power supply as described in Section 4.
2. Select the appropriate voltage (12V or 24V) on the control panel.
3. Turn the power switch to the ON position.
4. Attempt to start the engine. Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds at a time, and wait at least 60 seconds between attempts to allow the booster to cool down.
5. If the engine starts, immediately turn the power switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the clamps in reverse order: first the BLACK (-) clamp, then the RED (+) clamp.

• Cleaning: Disconnect the unit from power and battery before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
